The female driver in the car was not injured, but police said she was taken into custody after drugs were found in her car.

I think it's the car that run the red light since they found drugs in her car.

Sucks that it happened. New this morning said it was the bike that ran the light. If so the rider made a mistake that cost him is life. Feel for his friend that had to witness it. But do not run a red light even at 2:00 am. Most of the drunks and druggies are out at that time.

I said the same. Doesn't mean the cager was at fault. Just means the vehicle was searched

Rip rider
the news this morning did not say they found drugs in her car, it said they found a crack pipe and that the pipe was to be tested to see if there was any residue in it, if so the charges would go up...it seems that just having a "crackpipe" in your possession is against the law... but that is just how channel 11 news reported it.
they also said that wittnesses stated the bike ran the light and hit the car...
and one of those wittnesses was his riding buddy.

I don't understand why they need a team of forensic scientists to identify this guy if his buddy who was riding with him was interviewed

It's the law. They have to confirm his ID. Do you need to know right now?

I understand that they have to confirm who exactly was killed for legal reasons. I'm just wondering why the media isn't saying who they believe it is based on the interview with the guys friend. I don't need to know anything about the incident I'm just curious, like anyone else looking at the article....it's not like any of my friends or relatives who ride that are missing.
