Thumbs up Resurfacing begins at TWS (Texas World Speedway)!

Resurfacing begins at TWS (Texas World Speedway)!
The first phase of track resurfacing has begun at TWS (Texas World Speedway). Phase 1 includes the track out of Turn 6, and the entrance into Turn 7. The new lanes will be 8'-12' wide and will eliminate a long ridge and waves where the pavement has pushed upward along the racing line from T6 to T7. Pavement will be ready for racing before this Friday's CVAR event!

Also, new aprons at the entrance to T12 and inside of T8, and an extension of the existing apron outside of T6 are going in over the next 2 weeks

Hellz yes, that entrance to 7 was a tooth-rattler.

Thanks, Allan. I pitted next to a poor guy who broke his femur in a high-side accident pulling through of turn 6.

What is CVAR?

That apron they added at the exit of T-6 will lower lap times alone. T-6 has been a little slippery for years on on the exit and now it should be killer.

What is CVAR?
CVAR, (Corinthian Vintage Auto Racing). Vintage racer usually don't race hard. The new pavement should be fine.
