Add in an "Unlimited" class for highly modified/turbo/NOS bikes.
At the end of the event there's 4 class winners.
The winner of it's respective class with the most points wins overall.
If there's a tie than have a dead heat competition between the 2 bikes.
This seems like the best suggestion for classes.

If you categorized all street bikes together it wouldn't be a competition. Not all bikes are the same. It would be like putting my bike against Alan on the busa. It would vote me away. The only thing I would be above him at would be street and that wouldn't be by much because I've seen him drag inlet filters on the ground. It has to be broken up by more barriers.

I guess what I'm asking is honestly, if you have a 600cc bike would you come out and race or just rather watch or not race?
I, asking with some friends, would be there to spectate even if we weren't participating. Sounds like fun.

Work out all the details and make it happen.

I'm waiting for info from RPR to see what it would take.

Depends on a few things but more gear isn't a bad thing. I'd prefer people wear a full suit, depends what the track, insurance, etc. says....

If you trap over 125mph on the drag strip you need leather pants and the full gear (helmet, jacket, gloves, boots, etc), not sure about private rentals!

Just guessing on the cost of renting out the track divided by expected participants (all pure speculation on my part), I'd expect the cost to come out at least as much as a standard track day. I'd expect NO LESS than $100.

But to be completely honest, while I'd likely pay $20 to come spectate with my boys, I don't know if I'd want to pay $20 to "compete", just because my bike would be un-competitive in every category imaginable, unless long-haul comfort were a consideration. Well, that and I'm lazy, so I know that while I might pay for registration, no telling if I'd get my out of the house to show up on race day.

Still waiting for RPR to email me back but it could be as much as $300 per person depending on the track and rental configuration....that may be more than people are willing to spend.

I wouldn't gauge other's interest vs. price based on my own. I'm weird when it comes to money. I didn't mind dropping $12k on my trans am engine build (and another $5k on my transmission), but I've yet to pay the $15-20 entrance fee to take it out at RPR's test-and-tune night to see what it'll actually do. It's been 2-1/2 years since I put the engine in the car.
