2011 R6 cold start issue

2011 R6 9,200 miles, bmc filter, m4 mid pipe and slip on, ecu flash. I noticed when its cold out (below 40*) it seems that it does not fire on all cylinders when started.

I ride the bike daily, so it does not sit much at all. Last night when i left work, it started then died. I had to make 3 more attempts to start the bike, and when it finally did i cracked the throttle just a bit, then it fired up, and i smelled raw fuel from the exhaust.

This seems to only happen when its relatively warm (60*+) in the AM, then the temp drops in the evening.
Any suggestions? I'm thinking it may need spark plugs but wanted to check here first.

I'm not a motorcycle mechanic but, does it run smooth after it warms up? Have you done a throttle body sync? cleaned/replaced the air filter?

Runs great once the hiccup is gone. Never done a t-body sync, and replaced the stock air filter with a BMC unit less than 3k miles ago. Seems to be dependant on the temperature. It sits in my garage overnight, and never had an issue when starting first thing in the AM.

Known issue on R6s. Especially flashed ones. They all run like chit on cold start.

Mine has always run rough when the engine is cold, but it never has a problem starting no matter what the temp. And it looks like we have the same bike.

Maybe try a throttle body sync? And might as well replace the plugs. Manual calls for 8000mi I think on the plugs and 4000 on the throttle body sync. I replaced my plugs around 12,000 and some had lost a hefty bit of material. I didnt notice much of a change after I swapped them, still ran fast but I'm no racer.

Did he just edit the ECU based on the exhaust or dyno it? Most just put in a Bazzaz or PC with a dyno or a map upload.
