Is there a list of RC's or MC's ? Would be cool to get to know some family oriented peeps that like to ride a lot.

the only true family riding club I remember seeing here in Houston wears those yellow vests with some kind of lizard on it... can not remember their name...
I went on a toy run with them about 15 or so years ago and one was enough...
great folks but they had no clue how to safely ride in a group...(IMO) the cops escourting them were the best riders in the group.

Was the name omitted on purpose, or was it a legitimate "CRS" moment? Just want to make sure before I go putting names out that I shouldn't for some reason.

OP, are you looking for a legitimate patched "club", or are you just looking for guys to get to know and ride with? If you're looking for organizations, I can put you in contact with a High Roller if you're interested, and I've got a friend with several assorted patches. Otherwise, use the events page, come out and hang with MH people and get to know us.

Were you referring to Gypsies? Amigos? Can't remember which, but one of those has gold vests.

Those of you guys with knowledge of the MC lingo, I was reading about different clubs and the term " independents" came up when talking about group club meanings of different MC's. I could never figure out what was meant by " independent". Is that like a solo guy that hangs around different groups and doesn't commit. Please excuse my ignorance on the question.

independent is someone with no club affiliation. From what I have seen and the guys I have met, most were in a club at one time and got out.

They also partake in MC events and are still involved in the MC community without being tied to any specific club.

I've come across three MCs that I can name and one that I saw riding around that had 'RC' on their patch instead of 'MC'. I was able to just Google 'houston mc motorcycle' and come up with some.

The 'RC' had a mixed group of both sport bikes and cruising Harleys. I'm not affiliated with any of them and I don't really feel comfortable just throwing their names out there, but if anyone wants to know what I know... PM me.

I think that one of the reasons why MCs are not very prominent on these forums is because most of them only allow American V-Twin riders to get patched in. Some don't even let people hang around if they ride something else. From the two meet-ups I've attended, this group is mainly sport. The RC I came across is the only exception I've found.
