You must at least passed the CMRA class and have paperwork in hand.

Does not have to be a track bike but your bike must be safety wired.

No ambulance so make sure you bring other people with you.

No electricity or food provided.

Oak hill is not a good track for the inexperienced track rider. the track is rough and beat up.....and the track is not wider than a 2 lane road......it's like running a technical twistie road. (maybe even smaller than a 2 lane road)

So is it that only one person has to be CMRA licensed or does everyone that runs on the track have to be?

i understand and I have heard of all the bumps and cracks and grooves all that, I know it is technical, and that is what I like, makes you a better rider if you can get good on a track like that. I like a challenge!!!

that is all true...but it's best to learn the basics like body positioning, finding braking markers, and all that other good stuff, on a safer track, with wider lanes....gives you a bit more room for error just in case you run wide. there's no mercy for running wide at oak hill. and i'm not sure if you've seen pictures or not, but there are a lot of trees around the track.

IMHO 50cc....MSRH is a great place to learn riding tracks. great instruction, still a bit technical in some areas, and turn in speeds aren't as fast like TWS (Texas World Speedway) is. and they have nice run off spots in case you come in too hot. i've learned a lot about riding the track at MSRH.

how many trackdays have you done so far?

There is a bit of grumbling going on on the CMRA site about folks only getting licensesd to use oakhill. It is a track that is near and dear to many in the club, and I pitty the person who shows up without the proper credentials and screws up a good thing. This isn't something to post on the TSBA board or anywhere else. Oakhill has killed more riders that anyother track in TX. It is a racers track, not intended for use by the trackday enthusiast. Racers beware, Oakhill will bite you hard.
