Talking Looking for knowledge

I am looking for a local shop that would be willing to let me come in and apprentice. I have been riding for 8 years and working on my own bikes and families off and on since then. I am 29 father of two I work full time and ride with a Rc out of surgarland my bike exp is with metrics only. Would prefer a chopper shop but willing to learn from anyone. I have strong trouble shooting skills and the drive to learn. Not expecting pay just knowledge. I do want working on bikes to be a career for me in the future. So I would even be willing to help you in your garage. Like I said just looking for knowledge. If you feel like you would like to pass down some knowledge to a eger learner willing to bust his and knuckles for the knowledge hit me up would like close to alvin area but Webster ect also acceptable am willing to travel.

want to ruin a hobby? Just do it for a living.
Even what you are trying to do is not going to work out the way you think.
A shop needs to turn bikes, not let them sit for any longer than needed.

You can thank me later

This. I told that to a good friend of mine who just left the navy and was looking to get into MMI. Well, lets just say he wasn't very happy with my lack of support. Sorry bud but I'm just looking out for ya. I will say there are a few exceptions, but this isn't one of them.

On the other hand doing something you love means you will enjoy your work instead of...

My vote is don't listen to the naysayers, do what you want, follow your own path. At least you won't go thru life wondering, "what if..."
