Perforated or non perforated

I am looking to pick up a leather jacket and eventually maybe pants to piece together a 2-piece suit. My question is whether I should get a perforated or non perforated one. My riding is mostly in Houston so heat is definitely a factor, but I also have a textile jacket that I could use for the really hot days. I guess what I'm asking is, how cold would I be in the winter with perf vs how hot would I be in the summer without it... Any and all thoughts are welcome. Thanks in advance for your help!!!

Definitely perforated if you still want to wear it in the summer.

I wore my perforated last night, I think it was around 42, and I was only a little cold. I'll probably never buy a non-perf as long as I live in Houston.

Perforated... Most the good ones come with a zip in/out liner. I wear the Ride Smart Taichi motion...

Perf... then wear a windbreaker under it in the winter.
