It was a pretty good ride.

Thanks to the two gents that had gps lol... We made to to Yanks one way or another.

The guy one the Blue FZ6 was a friend I invited. He's not on the forum yet. But i went check on him when I return and he's all good.

And... Mishap #2. I tried slowing down pretty slow after missing the turn onto 3090. Im glad no one got hurt and dunerider did'nt get his leg tore up. Actually looked kinda bad, but i had to turn around and go forward so i wasnt part of it. Lol.

Whats your name on here from the guy that went down in the circus turn?

Hope the other people helped you out and you're alright. Shake it off and try again. That's the same turn we had a crash in last time by the way. We were heading back but you were up by then.

Soo... you
1: "Lost" people within the first 20 mins...
2: Dont have a firm grasp on the route even though you've hit it quite a few times, I'm sure.
3: keep leading people into a up corner without any prior warnings to others

All in all sounds like a successful ride.

Gotta know your who's riding in your group and where they need to ride in the pack as well as someone to ride close to them.
I third the motion. I was semi BORC-ing it two weekends ago and it was all good in the hood.

Is this sarcasm???? I've only done one Fastola ride, but it wasn't out by any means....Jimmy's Fayetville runs back in the day (and today's rides too I'm sure) were WAY more intense....I don't know the name of that stretch of road where these crashes keep reoccuring (I confuse it with Honea Egypt), but it's residential and no one is "blasting through there"....smooth corner entry and exit are needed though to get your "lean on" in those sections though....not everyone has it.

and I love the "gravel is everywhere comments"....I don't ever recall seeing gravel except at the stop sign.

you were going too fast to see it

It was pretty nasty, though that was my first time up there so I don't know how it usually is. Ready to go up again this weekend (hopefully) and actually learn those roads and get more comfortable. First time out there going over hills when you don't know what's coming up...a little sketchy

edit: hopefully that rain forecast goes away...

Why are people about fastola. Doesnt seem like he set up a noob ride. No one should be babying people on how they ride. If the group is going to fast the person can easily stop.

Word. I knew I probably wasn't going to keep up and I didn't, Well for the most part it did but one time I lost sight of them and pulled over for a sec to check my phone and see where I was. Caught up a few minutes later.

If you are posting a group ride, you should at least try to keep the group together IMO. Not saying you need to baby people but the objective of a group ride is to leave and return as a group with all parts intact.

Was a nice ride overall. A few mistakes but people learn and move on. No one injured. Thanks for setting it up Fastola.

I didn't get very many good clips with the gopro. First time using it and it was on the wrong setting and the sound is all f'd up.
Plan on riding 3090 again some time soon though and hopefully I can come back with something better.

I went ahead and made a clip for practice. My first video and quality is bad but this is what I got from that day:
