The rear on a XR/CRF 70 is a 12" so you should have no problem finding them. Look on Ebay or CL. Take the hubs from your 50 and get some custom spokes made by the company below. They custom made the heavy duty spokes on my XR70 TMGP bike. The rim won't be your limitation on width, the bike frame will be.

DOHC?! lmao you DONT need that! And the 5 speed Tak tranny is nice, but the 5th gear breaks with kicking the bike so you will need to push start it. Go with something more dependable. Just my .02.

If you want something really fast and still decently dependable go with the 117 racehead. And you can port the out of those heads for power increase. I wouldn't do DOHC unless you are planning on taking a vegas trophy home.

And you should be able to swap hubs using 2 rear XR70 wheels as donors. Leaving you with 2 12" wheels

i read on plannet minis that the tak trannys gears break cuz the gears are too thin. what would you recommend? ahp 4 speed kit? i got a 108 stroker kit 3 . my main goal is to keep up with traffic on 59 lol, and fastttttt whoolies

Yeah the gears are really thin on the 5 speed. The AHP tranny is a total POS, don't waste your time/money. ATC is probably the way to go like rob said.

Port and polish that head, and throw in the 117 bore up kit. And never look back.

117+ you have to use a special clutch like the kitaco, takegawa, etc. The ones that take it off the main shaft or whatever.
