A friend's dad told me he once jumped a ditch going head on at a curb, doing a wheelie, with a friend on the back, and landed perfectly on two wheels. Apparently it was no joke, he has a video of it. BUT, when I said "oh, I'm making a montage video of motorcycle tricks and general baddassery, can I see it?", he couldn't find it. Also, I've had to talk down a couple people claiming a guy their friend's uncle knows does 300 mph on 90 degree hairpin corners. Dumb people are the most fun people.

Working at a motorcycle shop can be eye opening. Often people come in and share their amazing stories.
Apparently they believe that people who work and ride are unable to perceive the difference between reality and a poorly imagined bullshit story.

There is similar bullshit surrounding guns.

I think people watch too much TV and believe what they see in the movies.

Guys, the explanation is simple. His speedometer is 5 times faster than it should be. So going 300 mph he really is doing 50

I had a guy in a gas station outside Hempstead, riding a Suzuki, tell me: "Do you know who I am? Huh? Any idea who I am? I am Nicky F*#%ing Hayden." It's embarrassing that people's self esteem can find such a low water mark.

That is exactly what he new associate dude at 45N Cycle Gear sounds like. Everything he sells he tells the customer how great it worked on his Hyabusa at 250mph and how important good gear is at that speed.

In addition to the idiocy diplayed, the funniest part of this was reading it whilst not logged in and seeing "embarrbutting" instead of "embarrassing."
