No problem man. Get the battery tested to be on the safe side (better to prove the theory on the least expensive) but I have a feeling its stator time.

The 09 rectifier is under recall. I have 2-09's. One was fine, one crapped out (my track bike--died on the track after losing power, sputtering). I pulled them both and had them replaced. Stators have been fine. Rectifier replacement is covered at no cost bc of the recall. It will kill your battery if it's the only power source for long. The battery is not covered.

Should be at least 14 volts
When ur takeing the old stator out keep a eye out for damaged wires, i doupt there r any but inspect it well dont need another dead stator.

I checked the vin under kawi's recall list a while ago and I think it said it was replaced. I checked today and its just saying theres no recalls for my vin, so I think the rectifier was already replaced. Still plan to make sure its the stator and not the rectifier/regulator though. Also plan to call Kawi and see if the stator is covered under the good times protection plan, really hopping it is.

14v when the engine is runing a little bit more is ok but no more than 14.8
It will very a bit based on revs but it doesnt change much
12.5v when when the battery is just siting there doing nothing

Donte ... I downloaded the service manual and was looking it over. It shows how to test the stator and rectifier to see if they are bad.

http://zx6r.com/service-manuals/1259...ce-manual.html

Chapter - 16 sections 29-31

If you want some help tomorrow after you get the battery checked let me know ... be glad to come over and look at it with you. Seems pretty straight forward to check out.

I watched some videos and it appears the rectifier will most likely go first ... but it will take down the stator with it if not replaced.

I know this is not cool because your bike is down .. but kinda cool troubleshooting an issue would be nice if we can figure it out so you know what needs to be fixed. Either a DIY or at least make sure where ever you take it fixes the issue.

that multimeter should be all you need to check the stator/rectifier/battery etc. in the charging system. There are plugs for each of the electrical components and the selections of the service manual you have chosen should show the procedure to do the Resistance, Continuity, and Voltage checks on each of the plugs (this is how its done on my sv650)
