Anybody see Matt Lindland hand both Jeremy and Carlos their respective the other day? And what the is wrong with a world class grappler like Carlos not only tapping to a guilletine that he could have gotten out of but for allowing the position to worsten in the first place?

They usually do that at the end of the TUF seasons or with fighters from previous TUF seasons...or atleast that was how they did it. I think the TUF season just started. One caveat: unless you are referring to the older fights they show on Spike sometimes

Yep, they had a 90 minute special on it last night.....lasted from like 9-10.30 or something like that.

Yeah Dana was a boxer in his younger days in Boston. He trained for 7 months for the fight and even got it sactioned with the NV gaming commission. It was supposed to be 3 - 3 min rounds of stand up boxing exhibition with Tito. Dana showed up for the weigh ins and Tito didn't. The NV gaming commission was that they put time and effort into approving it and that Tito didn't show.

That's pretty interesting...[when was this from(NEVERMIND, I guess it was from last night)] because Tito may not be the best with his hands but his stand-up game has evolved quite a bit from his Shamrock days... he even knotted Vanderlei up a bit when they threw hands in UFC Brazil back in the late 90's. I think if it were recent, Tito would have the win...even though Tito wouldn't have been able to take him down, pin him against the cage, and drop ELBOWS till the ref jumped in mercifully

Tito posted on his myspace a few weeks ago why he pulled out of the fight. He was set to make ZERO money on the fight, while Spike and UFC made money on it. Being hungry fo' the dollar (can't blame him in this case, he had a LOT to lose), he didn't want to do it if he wasn't making anything off of it. Do a search. I can't get to myspace here from work. Those who follow MMA closely knew about this weeks ago. However, just for ratings, Spike and the UFC made it out to be as if the fight was going to be shown last night. A lot of people who didn't know the result were pretty ticked off.

And FWIW, the Live Fight Night was LAST Thursday, before the latest season of the Ultimate Fighter started (last night's show was the 2nd one of the season). As others have said, UFC 70 will be shown via tape delay next Sat, 4/21 at 8pm local for free on Spike.

Surprised I hadn't heard about it. No body said anything on mma.tv or n e thing...atleast as far as I know and yea...if dude wanted to make a lil cash for fighting I see nothin wrong with that. It takes alot out of you goin even three 3 min rounds. most people wouldn't last through the first, particularly in an mma fight...

that's dumb. I'm sure they skewed the Tito/Dana beef to make it seem like it was all Tito's fault for the fall-out, but I believe it. And, if Tito wanted to make money off of the exhibition, he should've included it when he decided that he wanted to fight Dana as part of his agreement to go back to the UFC. Weird that he didn't think it all the way through to the money, when it seemed like that's what he was all about.

But yeah, wife was off too that she waited up for nothing. I ended up falling asleep on it, lol.
