They have already been developing things similar for motorcycles. It comes out more around the chest and back area though. The main problem that I have seen with these systems is that in order for it to deploy you would have to have a string attached to the bike so why you come off it inflates. So if one for got to take off the string when they get off the bike from a stop it would just inflate accidentally. Also at high speeds, inflatable "balloons" tend to pop.

Maybe something to supplement a helmet, or even something that pops out of the helmet and creates a brace around the neck that supports a helmet.

Everyone knows about those. They work, just not what most expect from it. Just softens your landing.

Hey the airbag system works great for the motogp guys. I'm pretty sure it saved Marc Marquez's life this year.

Its far off for consumers but seems to be working well. It will find its way to us eventually.
