Well, I got out of the hospital Monday morning. Glad to be out of there. Still waiting for the police report so I can get the bike back. From the pictures there seems to be little damage to the bike. Just the front and rear turn signals on the right side. I imagine the engine guard is scratched.

And I doubt I would able to post. Helmet right were the top of the visor meets and the top part of the visor shows scratches from sliding face first.
That is exactly how my helmet came out when I went down a few years ago. I locked up the front and it washed out - throwing me over. I never knew I hit my head till my wife showed me the helmet. Rash was just over the visor on the right side.

Glad to hear you are out of the hospital.

Here are some pictures of my helmet, and boots after the accident. I guess that would have been major road rash on my face at best and a lot worse most likely. Feet might not have turned out too great either if I had just been wearing sneakers.

Sneakers have flown off of every single rider that I have witnessed in a crash. And I've seen enough of them. It's like Dane Cook said about pedestrians getting hit and how they always lose the shoes like they kicked them off in a fit of rage lol.

Latest update: I nearly pain free. I still have an occasional twinge of pain when I sneeze or roll over, but not every time. I'm able to pretty much do anything I want. A week ago I even tripped and fell without any pain.

The best thing though is I picked up my Sporty from the shop today, and it felt good to ride it back home. I did do some upgrades while it was getting fixed. I got 12" Progressive 412's with heavy duty springs. I upgrade the headlight to a PIAA Extreme white bulb. I just couldn't afford LED at the moment. I also made the turn signals run, stop and turn along with making all the rear lights flash when I brake.
