gsxr 600 STVA problem

ok i have a 2004 gsxr 600 and i will get C28 code and thats the stva, which doesn't allow me to go over like 8 rpm's and then it will go a way and my bike will accelerate normal for a day or two then it will start all over again. whats going on ? is my stva going bad? i did notice that the throttle cable on the other side of the throttle body is loose can that be the causing the problem? if anyone could shed some light on this form me would be much appreciated.

common problem on the gsxrs. either replace or repair the stva, repairing will require some multimeter and soldering skills.
