I like it... but why still no TC or other electronic aides.

Hopefully the reluctance to spend R&D money on the CBRs means there are some more significant new model to come. I would love to see Honda gets back to its V4 racing roots and do a proper V4 litresport bike.

A base model CBR is $13,800! Holy . I remember they were selling them new for about half that in 2008.

not a supersport, but have you seen the new CTX1300? transverse mount v-4... reminds me of some illegitimate child of an original GL1000 and the new Goldwing F6B.

The should have called the CTX1300 the V4B (V4 bagger, since F6B is flat 6 bagger). Since the F6B is doing pretty good, I can see the logic in a junior version. But what's with the prices, Honduh?! $17k for the base CTX1300 and $19k for the deluxe? They are out of their mind...

For $17k, I would go buy a leftover RSV4 Factory instead and get APRC. Now if they drop that to, say $13-14k, then Honda might get some riders to overlook the lack of TC etc.

178 hp at the crank when s1000rr's put 185 at the wheel??

I think this is only to help the wsbk efforts, produce this bike with a new head and cams so they can run in in superbike...clever honda.
