Oil change prices?

How much do you pay for an oil change ( when you don't do it yourself. ) . I took my bike to get it's oil changed, and it was 118 dollars + tax :\

they charged me for some sort of " assy oil ", then for the yamalube, then they even billed for labor. is that pretty standard when gettnig an oil change on a bike? is it different than going an oil change on a car, truck, or suv? Walmart doesn't charge me for Labor :\

thanks fella's

$50 + Tax, $78+ Tax if I get the ENI oil.

Most expensive part about my Oil change is if I decide to go with the ENI over Mobil 1

Im not saying don't take it to Motorcycles Unlimited or HOP but 118 is too much. Learn to do some of the simple stuff on your own. My oil changes are about 65 because I put synthetic with a new filter.

Any sponsor on here can do it for alot less than $118. Did you get a large bottle of KY with the bill?

I had some work done at Motorcycles Unlimited recently. The $40 oil change portion turned into about $101 after it was all said and done. Don't know what they added on there but I'll be doing a lot more oil changes myself. I'm guessing maybe the Mobil 1 synthetic is an added charge.

Synthetic is going to be extra no matter where you go.

Yes, that was for synthetic, and included tax.
Our oil change with standard oil and 23 point inspection including cleaning, lubing and adjusting the chain is only $49.50.

Wow. Sounds like that guy that paid $200 or so for an oil change in NYC. My DIY oil changes with full synthetic (Mobile 1 Racing 4t) cost me around $45, but my bike only takes 2700mL of oil. Dino oil would cost quite a bit less.

If you do it yourself using full synthetic it will range from $32-45 max depending on if you are using mobile 1 or ams oil/honda/etc. unless you have absolutely no mechanic skills whatsoever, learn to do the basic things yourself. Saves lots of time and money

I use brad penn bc it's very high in zinc (and have used many others) but I change my oil more often than most. Every 2-10 miles (yes that's correct) but that's on a race motor.

$11.99(Gal of Rotella) + 12.99 (filter)+ .0825% (tax)= lots mo gas for trips to Yamnkee's.

And I still have some oil left over for the WR.

Whad I win?

I have been adding nano save N1 oil additive when I change my oil and it has given me better mileage and a bit more punch
