Whiskey Throttle!

Heard of it? When you gas it by accident and the bike takes off...

Haven't heard that name for it, but sure.

Been caught by surprise a few times, but never lost the bike completely.

IMO it's more of a risk on bikes w. lots of low end torque, rather than the 600 SS bikes that everyone is so dead set against noobs riding.

I did it once at a gas station in Livingston on one of Txlurches rides. Lol. I almost hit a Ducati, and the store. That was a long time ago though.

Had my first taste of it a few months ago on my dirt bike. Landed a jump off balance, gave it full throttle, did a twelve o clock wheelie and flew off the back of the bike at the top of third gear. It tickled.

First time I ever ride a motocycle. I was 12 and slammed into a chain link fence on a 125 two stroke. Dis located my knee cap. I didn't ride for 11 more years due to whiskey throttle and a bad teacher ( my stupid friend)

I've never experienced it on the street. But motocross a lot. Especially when you start getting tired.

I get it on trackdays on wheelie hill at TWS (Texas World Speedway). Totally unintentional stand up wheelies!
