Shoot, I wish had the time to find the videos from the hill country, I think I got more lean angle on my Monster...

Anyways....Here is something someone that has been around a long while sent me.

I think he put it quite nicely:

in response to the BORC thread etc...

The forum is suffering, all of them are.

Connections, personal connections is what keep people coming back and riding etc. So yes, the big ride groups do help.

Moreover, the responsibility does lie in the members to make people feel plugged in and settled vs a child in a kindergarden class looking for some attention but being laughed at for ignorance(specific forum ignorance or general moto'ing.)

Maybe write a thread asking what the members are willing to do for the forum? Encourage members to consider hosting a bike night somewhere in their area. Doesn't have to be much, a night at BW3s... call the place up, tell them you have a bike forum that would like to have a social meet at your establishment... sponsors drop some coupons if they like etc, just give the riders an opportunity.

As a new member comes in, someone is bound to see where they are from and invite them immediately. If meets are left to one person, they will fail overtime; cuz no one person can divulge that much time over that extent of time to a cause that doesn't consume them. trust me I know I was there.

Second, it also keeps everyone in check. Causes members to search the event forums in their area... if member X wants to host a bike night at BW3s on a Wednesday, he's got to check the forum first and see what night that week is taken.... meets may start popping up two, three weeks in advance... that will draw more a crowd.

online forum ventures could be inspiring people to converse with new members writing in. nothing feels better like being greeted with several pages of more then just members getting a post count in... but asking questions. I think my intro page is still under 2 pages lol... but there were very few members at that time.

just some ideas. you're a social member in this community; thought I would share some thoughts through reading your thread; I honestly don't come on too often.

Best wishes, ride safe.

He talks about people speeding is bad in his thread and then says why he is not speeding through the turn in this one to achieve more lean angle. Lol

Hey...I said it in another part of thread...the problem is nothing more than lack if initiative. Rather than writing a dissertation, take action.

Turning people off? This is nothing more than text on a website. I say grow a sack and write what you want. I have yet to see one text related death.
Who cares what some with a superman avatar and scary board name thinks. Most people on here ride a sportbike and they are afraid of someone bashing their thoughts in text?

I still want to know the stats on the shitbird that wrote the passionate passage.
