Do gixxer owners have to go to a suzuki dealership or any certified cycle dealer who sells suzuki can honor this recall issue?
I tried to look up some of the suzuki dealers in houston area and the closet one to me is the one on Katy freeway..and their reviews are pretty bad.

Yes, I called last week and they have not received the proper forms from the manufacture yet. And they told me you will have to show up with you bike and prove it's yours. So if you have a track bike and you did not transfer it to you name you better have the title with the billing of sale to show them when you show up with your bike on the back of your truck...

Call Tony @ HoPD (sponsor here on mh) and have him get you a r6 mc for your bike. He sells them for cheap!

Fwiw, the stock mc on the gsxr was garbage (major brake fade), so most people including myself, got the r6 mc and it works great!

Ahh I appreciate the info but I'll just wait for suzuki to replace the part for free.

Ok. The one they replace it with is still not even close to a r6 mc (brembo). But do as you please.
