Heard the news last night. Terrible thing to happen to suck a good guy and a great friend. A couple of friends and I are going Monday to see him. But a lot of you know him as well as I do and know what a tough SOB he is and how how positive he is about life in general. Knowing Jason, he probably looked at the car after getting hit and said "is that all you got?!"

I'm glad to hear he is alive. He isn't alone in losing his leg in a motorcycle accident, he'll have a lot of resources.

Just heard someone call into the Michael Berry Show (AM radio) and talk about Jason. I don't know if they were an MH member or not. The person who called in said that he was in surgery overnight, and had to have his leg amputated below the knee. From the sound of it, Michael Berry might try to do what he can to help, as far as raising funds and stuff like that. Just relaying what I heard on the radio. Hoping for the best.

That would be really great if local tv & radio picked this help to help with donations to cover costs of bills.

Yes, he was on El Dorado between Wal-Mart and Sam's Club when a cager pulled out of the parking lot in front of him.

Wow really?!! That's awesome!!! Michael Berry does great things for houston, especially for servicemen and police officers in need of help.

**** UPDATE ****

Thanks all for the kind words for MH member Jdub, Who Dat of Los Carnales MC.

Pretty much what has been said here is accurate. The information is already in the public, so I don't think it will be any release of private information at this point to confirm that he has lost his leg, below the knee. He's broken some other bones, but he will heal with those things. He did have a head injury, but not considered life threatening, was awake and trying to be positive with the medical team and his club brothers who were there trying to give him support. He was in surgery for about 3 hours. He is at Memorial Hermann hospital.

IMPORTANT - His family is requesting he have some privacy at this time. He is very emotional, and needing rest, as obviously he had a very long night. A select few of his closest MC brothers are with him, as well as his immediate family, and they're requesting no more visitors for a few days.

Your donations are very appreciated, as well as your prayers and well wishes. I will also print out this whole thread and take it to him on Monday, so he knows you all are thinking of him.

There is no way on earth we can even offer advice that everything will be okay. He is thinking everything is very much NOT okay. This affects his career, which he loved, and his riding which he loved, although he may well be able to resume both. Time is going to tell. But I am glad he is still with us, because Jdub wasn't a good cop or a club brother or friend to all of us, or any of those things without the cool character that rattled around in his skull, and that is still there. I hope he finds his way back to his usual self in due course.

Change the visit from this Monday to a tentative Wed-Fri or so? Me, Tina, & Candy were planning on heading over on Sunday or at the latest with Mike on Monday but obviously that's out of the pic. Please let us know when he would be ok with us coming by to visit, havent seen JDub in a year or so and it hurts to know he's in bad shape & a lot of pain.
