Pros: looks cool but there are so many cons to it.
Cons: the sound of the exhaust? It was as silent as a ninja. Can't live without it if you like to ride.
Can't take corners as fast as regular sport bikes since clutch is a big factor in speed and acceleration. Gas motor sounds more expensive as far as charging versus refueling but you can ride your regular motor bike all day long and not worrying about waiting for an hour to charge your bike.

What? Max torque on a S1000RR is 83lb/ft. This electric bike is 120

This... you won't be downshifting and backing it in.... you'll have to learn the new motor. Just like a twin vs 4cyl. Technically, the electric will be faster... just have to know how to control it.

They can add in engine braking on electric motors. So you could back it in. Could even have a reverse if they wanted.

I'm sorry but electric superbikes are just a dumb idea.

Because, you know, the first thing I want to sound like when I'm going down the road is my cordless drill.

Some care more about performance than appearance

There is no way that these things can out perform a modern superbike, no way.

This whole concept is an affront to the almighty combustion engine and I hate it.
