ATTN: 4/21-4/22 Ride Smart TD @ GSS Cancelled

Attention all riders registered to ride on the 4/21 or 4/22 @ Grand Sport Speedway.

I just got off the phone with Dave Wonders, and unforunately the track will not be ready, so please take note of this and also inform any other riders/corner works you may know.

Dave Wonders told me that the track owner "Dave Zubic" sends his sincerest apologies to everyone that was looking forward to this track day.

Due to unforseen events such as weather and technical issues, the track will not be ready in April.

I hope you all understand that tracks are not easy to build and have alot of technical issues and difficulties. Please don't take this negatively, its only a matter of time - and then we'll have a wonderful track close to Houston.

Stay posted.

For any additional info, please email Dave Wonders directly @ ridesmart@mac.com

We'll try to organize some other track activity.
Maybe we can have an open house/BBQ before the opening.

The owner's extremely careful about the paving.
He really wants to do it right even if it takes more time and money.

There'll be rescheduled days for this year.
Meanwhile, whoever booked for the days, can use the credit for other trackdays with Ride Smart this year.

lol...I knew this was coming. I was gonna post up last week when I heard. The contractor doing the track is the same contractor that does the city of Houston streets. lol Last week the track looked the same as it did 3 months ago. Although it did look like some electric was ran, however the pavement is yet to be seen

It really is depend on the weather.
And I think he wants to make extra, extra sure about there's no under stream at the track to ruin the pavement in a long term.

Oh, I am all for making sure it is paved properly. Just wondering if they have a more accurate ETA now?
