In the BBC coverage of the race, Bridgestone rep said they weren't allowed to test there.

Seems like a dangerous game to play when other peoples well-being is at stake.

I get the safety aspect of it, but everyone else abides by the rule so make him do a ride-through penalty but a black flag? C'mon.
Why didn't they have this problem at COTA? Brand new track and everything, but no mandatory pits.

MM has been penalized, warned and just tends to be a danger to those around him in some cases, what he did to JLo yesterday was clearly intentional (imo) the kid needs to grow up.

Yes, he's a fabulous rider and will likely take the championship this year but, will he take someones life in order to get that championship? He is a different type of rider, he's risky, and may not fully understand the consequences of some of his dangerous, moronic actions on track.

As for the tires, you could see his bike being upset in the turns due to the tire degradation before lap 10 began for him, that alone would have and should have raised a red flag to him and he should have made the decision to come in on time with the others.
