Bikes run off road in Magnolia!

In Montgomery county bicyclists were run off the road by a pick up truck occupied by 74 year old Sherman Clark wheedling a base ball bat. It's on the news. Trying to link video. Bevo, where are you?

Gramps probably saw that NY SUV video and thought he had the same situation. Looks like they were trying to block him from leaving with that bicycle and it backfired. Then starting kicking and hitting his truck as it pulled away. Actually many similarities with that NY video. Why then a complete 180 degree media and LEO spin? No motor on your bike makes you a helpless victim?

Are we watching the same video?
Looks like gramps instigated the action
And if gramps thinks he had the same situation with bicycles and motorcycles he needs to have his license pulled.
Also I did not see any of the bicyclist punching the windows, the only think I saw was a kick.(bicyclists and vegetarians most likely)

Video didn't show initial incident so we don't know who instigated it. Going by eyewitness reports it was Gramps but then that is one persons word against 6-8 others so even if he was innocent (which I don't believe) he wouldn't stand a chance.

Similarity in video is Gramps in truck, bikers blocking his forward progress, Gramps could claim he was threatened by outlaw bikers' action so flees running over bike and near miss hitting bikers, vehicle gets thumped in the process by out of control (haha) bikers. Everybody knows that bicyclists break more laws while riding than any other class of operator on the road.

Staggered formation just like our group rides only slower.
Honestly I have seen bicycles, cars, motorcycles, ect. disrupt the flow of traffic. You know if you were on your bike you could have just slid in between them.

unless that light turned red and they ran it, what were they doing wrong?
in the right lane, in the right portion of the lane, wearing bright clothing. what more can you ask for?

However, I agree that many cyclist ride like . They cry "share the road" but then don't obey the rules of the road. I have no problem sharing the road, but that means you stop at all lights, signs, move over so I can pass (if safe), signal turns, etc. etc.

Gramps probably was in the wrong like a . But still got a little smile on my face. Glad no one was hurt.

In austin, the will block the road and start when you try to pass them yet they completely disregard any and all traffic laws when they ride.

I'm just surprised that 7 people couldn't take the base ball bat and detain the subject until Leo arrived.

he has prior conflicts with the cycles, supposedly a grumpy old dude thats at the cycles blocking all lanes of traffic like they like to do. probably had enough of the non road tax paying citizens taking up his roadway.

Haha, not gonna lie I laughed a bit.

To answer all the questions about why the vegans couldn't stop him, well without substantial protein in their diet they just don't have the brawn to stop a true red meat eating 74 year old AMERICAN!

Bicycles have as much right as cars to occupy an entire lane. Until Texas becomes a real state and makes some bike paths! Riding on the sidewalk is suicide in this city.

I hope Grandpa get hit with the book...these people did nothing wrong.

From what I have seen in all the videos, one thing I noticed.. All the bikers were riding below the speed limits which cagers off ...

So, better to ride faster and keep plenty of distance from surrounding traffic...
