Your DREAM Profession

As a complement to 100f's post, list up what you'd like to do--i.e. dream job.

Mala's List

  • Ethnobotonist
  • National Geographic photojournalist
  • Musuem Curator (natural history)
  • Author of moderately formulaic romance/horror/fantasy novels to which thousands of fans would flock to book signings to see. . .preferably carrying little gifts and tokens of adoration (such as cat things since they'd read about my cat obsession in the back-of-the-book bio)
  • Cryptozoologist
  • Acrobat with a traveling circus
  • Designer of special F/X for professional haunted houses

That list is in no particular order. . .

It's ok. I'm content with driving Ferraris and Lamborghinis for a living. Valet here!

Actually, I'm attending UH and am almost done. Biochemical warfare is what I'm gunning for. I was supposed to graduate but ended up withdrawing because of my dad.

Well I have already lived most peoples dream of touring with rock stars and seeing the the sights. What else is there to do but live fast and ride fast? In all seriousness I have the dream job, believe me dream jobs can turn to a nightmare sometimes.

I'd love to own my own business. We thought about opening up a chroming business here in Central Texas because the closest either DFW or SA. Lots of harley folks around, here that i think would enjoy it as well as a lot of car people.

Then I thought about opening a tanning salon..and when I get my RN, I thought about opening a nurse recruiting firm... *sigh*

I'd really like to be a trauma surgeon.

Money. Someone's going to do it. Might as well be me. Besides, I just happen to have a knack for it.

Is it what I grew up wanting to do? Absolutely not. I'm 30 years old and still parking cars. I grew up wanting to be Spiderman or maybe a power ranger or something like that.

I'm ready to stop living life paycheck to paycheck (in my case, tip to tip). I'm getting my degree in one semester and I'm taking the easy way out.

Money don't buy happiness? Bull. People who say that just don't know where to shop.

if you're going to work in such a field, you should at least have the proper motivation(killing people)

Seriously I think I would be a covert agent that speaks 10 different languages or something along those lines. If not that then a painter or play an instrument in the Houston Orchestra.

See. Misguided aren't you? Why would I want to kill anyone? I wish no harm towards anyone.

In fact, I'd like to think that I'd be able to do these people justice. Someone's going to do it. Think of it this way...

You have Dr. Germ conjuring up some slow flesh-eating biological weapon

vs.

Me conjuring up something that does the job quickly and efficiently.

Who's more humane? Me! Yeah!

Actually, I'd like to end up working for the CDC (centers for disease control) in Atlanta or another facility similar to it around the world but I'm not going to turn down a significant payday either. I'm Deaf, not stupid.
