Best? Depends on what you want to do naked.

Cruisin': Diavel
Touring: R1200R
Hooligan: Speed Triple
Track/Canyon: Tuono V4R
Distinguished Gentlemen: Griso 8V
Snoot Factor: Streetfighter S, or the upcoming Monster 1198

New S1000 naked would be interesting.

Having only had the z1k, fz1, sv1k, and speedie (but rsv experienced)- I will agree.

The S3 was awesome

I prefer the Ducati Streetfighter over the Speed Triple, but I like them both a lot.

Define "best".
I'm thinkin it depends on what you want from the bike.
Are you wanting to thrash it on the track and hooligan on the street?
Maybe the Tuono would be best.
You wanting to sport tour?
Maybe the FZ1.
You want a rowdy, NASCAR, flame thrower?
Maybe the Streetfighter.

Or maybe the choices would be different but the point being that, like every other bike choice it depends on how you ride, style preference and budget.

I think a Vincent Black Shadow or a '72 Honda 750 would be good

Aesthetically speaking, not functionally.

What makes you like the Speed over the Street?

I'll admit I haven't ridden a Speed (only sat on one) yet but I've owned a Street Triple R for 2 years now and put over 24,000 miles on it.

I love how narrow and light this thing is. Combined with a nice exhaust and quickshifter and it really moves when you want it to yet is comfy for long rides.

The engine is just extraordinary in my opinion. I will admit though it isn't exactly a wheelie machine like the Speed, especially not with clip ons. It still easily lifts the front end if you want but you really have to want to.

Maybe I just really need to ride the speed.
