Honda Polish Dicontinued?

I heard Honda Polish was being discontinued. Can anyone confirm this? I rarely clean my bike, but I have used this stuff and it works well. Here's a link to buy it before it is no longer available (So I hear)

NO this is not true they just had to take something out of this. Patrick can elaborate on this, I use it as well.

Something about they had to remove something in it so they could use it in California.

Well Patrick said on Saturday at his basic bike maintenance class that there were problems with the chloroflorocarbons (sp??) they used. Honda changed that 1 part of it and California ( hippies) allowed them to produce and distribute the new stuff. Its basically the exact same stuff and just as readily available as before so no need to go out and buy everything you can find.

i work a honda parts counter, as far as we are told, yes, it is TEMPORARILY discontinued. dont worry too much about the formula changing, though, as ALL honda aerosol products are also unavailable for the same reasons. carb cleaner, honda lube, all that. all they are changing is the propellant, and then it should all be available again.

P.S. for those that dont know, honda polish is the freaking bomb. ive had customer wave fists at me, and/or near start crying when they heard we couldnt sell them any.

if you can so much as get your wife to take you seriously about trying it in the kitchen or bathroom, you will never have to go without it again, though you might have to fight her for it. NOT EVEN KIDDING!

p.p.s. you should see how many die hard HARLEY riders come in to buy honda polish on the down-low, hoping no one finds out... :laughing6

I asked Patrick about it at the maintenance class this weekend and was glad to hear the answer.

Honda polish is awesome. And if they can change the propellant so it's better for the environment, all the better. Ain't nothing hippie about it. We got a whole thread here with people talking about a track day on Easter weekend with freezing rain. If that ain't some global warming weather, I don't know what is. Think of it as Honda making one small step for track days. he he

Dbuck- Stop by Powersports of Houston. Eric carries a line of cleaners/polishes made by a company called Liquid Performance. I have gone through a couple cans and they have a product that pretty much a clone of Honda Polish...

It's an aerosol can that is black & white name is something like polish/cleaner yada yada yada...

EDIT: Here is a pic:

Thanks for the info. It's possible both sprays are made by the same company and the non-Honda version is bound to be cheaper.
