I have to add that I don't mind riding in the rain. If I've paid my money and you give me a safe track, I'll be glad to ride in the rain.

The key here is "safe". My experience with Ride Smart was that it was not safe when it was dry because they did not have control of the riders and there were too many people. I never felt that way with LSTD.

I think there are, and have always been, two issues here. Safety and Weather.

The only problem I really had with Saturday was the fact that no control riders were on the track. The last instructor on the track crashed and he had just come on and there weren't any on prior to that for a while. No matter what (instruction or not) there should've been control riders on the track to make sure people were behaving and not going above their limits. The last half of Level 1, all instructors had disappeared.

As a corner worker it was observed and commented upon. Hoping for improvement in that regard.

Do level 4 with Ride Smart and there are few issues with to many people on the track. :icon_bigg

Quote from Buck"Not a lot of negotiation power when most are single day events. Car clubs ALWAYS book the WHOLE weekend. So when a bike org, asks for a weekend date, they are splitting up what would make the owner TWICE as much by renting to a car club. Who would you rather rent to? A single day or a whole weekend player? "

Buck thanks for reposting that. IDK about the others but I would totally be willing to participate in a 2 tracevent(sat+sun) instead of a single day.

I think he was talking about public track (ie TWS (Texas World Speedway)).
It's probably hard for him to schedule both weekend days at private owned club like MSRH.

That's not a bad idea. Especially for everyone who goes through all the trouble to trailer their bike there. Just grab a motel room and do more riding the next day.

I was just trying to point out that some may prefer 2 day events instead of single day events.

Wow a lot of sh#t being said. +1 to Buck well said. I have to say I have spent a few dollars on track days and if it starts to rain I'm gone. I'm not trying to race so I see no reason to risk crashing and injury just for fun. That is my own decision and I expected nothing in return. If a track day org. calls a day for dangerous conditions then I will gladly take any refund or raincheck offered otherwise I'm out the cash and thats the way it is IMHO.

Some tracks such as Barber does Sat & Sun trackdays (this particular one's running by sportbiketracktime).
They actually come in a package with both day discount.

When it rain, LMS give us another day to have fun.
When people talk about ambulance services, LMS delivered.
LMS don't make jack but looking out for riders.
Other orgs that makes mucho dinero should be able to move mountains.

There are plenty of two day track events, just not in texas. I'm going to hallett in may for a 2 day event. I like driving to try out different tracks.
