Lone star MOPAR fest, 10/19 @LMP

Not sure if this should be in the car section. Mods, move it if you dare.

This is going to be a fun weekend. Come on out and watch us destroy tires, and break some ! I will ba around all day. I will either be running Auto-X, tearing up the 1/4 mile, or judging the car show.

Lone Star Mopar Fest (LSMF) is a family-friendly gathering of 2005-2014 Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, Dodge Magnum, Dodge Challenger, and Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT owners.

As enthusiasts we wanted to create an event where owners who like to "show" and owners who like to "go" can all gather in one place. We call it "Where Appearance and Performance Converge".

The attendees from 2011 and 2012 can all attest to the fact that it doesn't matter how stock or how custom your car is; it doesn't matter how fast or how slow you car is. What matters is you come out and have fun.

10/18 - Friday - Kickoff Meet & Greet at Wyndham Houston West - Host Hotel

10/19 - Saturday - Show & Shine // Track Day at Lonestar Motorsports Park

10/19 - Saturday - Afterparty at Wyndham Houston West - Host Hotel

There is something for everyone at this event:

-- Meet & Greet
-- Show and Shine
-- Autocross
-- Test and Tune
-- Quarter-Mile Racing Program
-- Kids Zone
-- Food Truck Concession Area

Lone Star Mopar Fest is an event you don't want to miss. Drive, ride with a friend, or fly - make plans to be with us on this special weekend in October.

If anyone gets registered to participate (reg deadline is tomorrow), remember this:

A helmet is required for both drag and autocross.

Also, long pants, closed shoes, and long sleeve shirt are needed.

Registration is free, but there is a $25 fee for your tech card, wich is a prereq for either track event.

This IS the place to be if you are a Mopar fan. I went last year with my Challenger and had a blast. We even got a tour of the Hennessey shop!

Nope. I am hoping to get out to RPR soon to play, though.

There will be a few monsters out there. Chrysler keeps our ECUs locked up pretty tight. These things arent easy to mod, like vettes and stangs.

I am BONE stock right now. Let's see what I can run. This will be the first time running the SRT.

Auto-X first, then 1/4 mile. Let's see if I have tires left by then.

Cool man! Good luck on the first passes...

I was talking about bringing my 71' possibly... I have some mopar buddies and I love to give them fits in my old bomber... One is a 69' Road Runner with a 528" Dave Dudek hemi.... I put a couple 2-3 cars on him everytime we race... My other buddy just finished a 68' Dart GTS with a 408" (360 based) iron head small block built by some mopar guru up north. It dynoed 530hp on the engine dyno.... That would should squeeze some high 10s if the converter is right.. I haven't ran him yet..

Our last buddy is a 69' Road Runner with a 493" wedge stroker, 4 spd car.... It runs mid 11s but traps 120+...(4spd doesn't ET well)...

All these guys are pretty hardcore mopar guys... all good guys with fast cars... They all hate my ole iron headed truck motor in my 71....
