Suit Sizing - What fits you?

Hey all, looking into getting my first 1 piece. At some point I want to do a track day, but I just don't feel comfortable in jeans anymore and I pretty much only go for fun rides now, so why not a 1 piece?!

Anyway, I'm looking for sizing help. I am 5'8 175-180 muscular build, 33 waist

Based on sizing guides, I'm anywhere from a 38-44. Guys at Cycle Gear suggested 44-46, but I didn't have time to try them on properly.
Then I found this vid

I found a guy with two used Laguna Seca's in 42 and 44 for a good price. Based on the vid, I think I should go with a 42.

What sizes do y'all wear?

Obviously it would be ideal to go in and get sized at TWT or somewhere, but honestly I work late and am often out or working on weekends. Plus, if I can get comfortable with a size, I'd like to pick up the Dainese soon before someone nabs it.

I figure worst case is it doesn't fit and I it off on one of you! lol

Its gonna vary from differrent suit brands but not by much. Im 5'11" 185# and have a size 44 BKS. It fits like a glove but gives me camel toe if I try to stand up straight. When Im on the bike its perfect...

Suit Sizing - What fits you?

I didn't watch the video. I'm 5'11"220 I've squeezed into a 46 and I currently wear a 48. The 48 is long and has way more gut room than I need. My waist is 33" but my chest is 46-48. It really depends on suit manufacture. If I Had to guess you would be 44

You are a 42.

I am 5'9" 175lb, 33" waist.

An astars, komodo, and joe rocket suit all fit me and my back protector snuggly at 42.

If you like it looser go 44.

If you ever find yourself in the NW side of town come over and I'll have you try on different suits so you can feel the differences in the way suits are built. There is an American fit and a Euro fit..as soon as you try them on you definitely know which your preference will be.

this is what I'm thinking, especially after seeing that video I posted. From reviews and comments I've seen around the web, makes me think a ton of people are wearing suits way too big for them

Thanks bro

HUGE variations amongst brands. You can see every single vein in my legs on a size 50 a* stars, but I fit comfortable in my fieldsheer 46.

You're absolutely going to have to try some stuff on.

Get a Pilot made suit.
They'll custom make it to your measurements. Not terribly expensive either.
