Drivers in Houston are too stupid and will road rage on riders until they are educated about lane splitting. Add in riders who will lane split at speeds higher than what they are meant for at under 30 mph.

New to see?

The example that "once you leave the camera's frame of view you can no longer get hit"*?

*or at least considered in the statistic for this example.

When discussed at my office, everyone would rather

1. move over and not give a bike enough room to get by
2. open the door and cause a wreck

all because they feel bikes should have to wait in the same traffic instead of getting to pass them up.

I was filtering down macgregor once, in stopped traffic, doing about 5 mph and a car swerved over and hit me on purpose.

Maybe they were just looking at what was ahead... and there was no reason for a bike to be there?
