Don't lower it. You gonna put 24 inch chrome spinners on your 86' buick regal while you're at it?

Go over show brother.

I would only lower it 1 inch. Any lower and you are going to be dodging speed bumps like crazy.

The triple clamp spacers work well and combined with a 1" drop in the rear don't affect geometry much.
I've got a TRE in stock and can get the rest of the parts you need to lower it properly in a day or so.

I think Busa's are pretty comfy stock. How would lowering it make it any more comforatable?

If it were up to me, don't drop it. It's not that high to start with.

In the end, it's ur bike so do what makes you happy.
I highly encourage you to go to the drag strip!!! You'll have a blast, probably learn a few things, it's cheap and legal!

If that is what you want then get with Patrick and get a triple clamp, shorter kickstand, and some dogbones. Dont forget to get a suspension set up from him also>. Just dont go trying to follow other peeps into turns to fast after you lower it. The Gi pro TRE and gear indicator are supposed to be the best out there. For more good info on the busa's go to www.hayabusa.org and click on the link to the forums.

OK

OK

Lowering is not that big a thing so to make everyone happy i will not lower. i do not want to make it any harder to handle than it is already, so i will set up susp. and get the tre and see how i like that

i have a machine shop at my dissp. so if i wanted to lower i could have the risers and the dog bones made for me! would just need some specs.

thanks everyone

they handle fine lowered, you will just scrape farings and pegs. IMO, save your money on the tre, buy a chain, power commander, exhaust, k-n filter, do the small air box mod, get it dyno tuned. When you buy a new chain, you should go ahead and change the gearing(+2 in the rear, or -1 and +2 if your feeln froggy)

ok well i am not looking to pimp it out that fast, besides moma will not let me right now , i am looking to change the fender and put the tre on, the lowering was something i kinda like. they look good but not that big adeal, the gearing that i will not change, i like it the way it is, i did regear the 600 i had, and it was cool but topped out at like 139, i am not in to all the road raceing , i am not looking to throw the busa around like a 600. the pipes will come as soon a mama let me but hey i am happy she gave the goahead on the bike. any way thanks for the info

what is the deal on the chain/ factory suck or what?

factory chain is , it WILL break, and total the motor. Get a good one mabee tsubaki omega with rivet master link. Tre is a waste of money. I might have one layn around, if so I'll send you a pm, you can have it. The risers in the front are easy to make, thats the way you should go, if you are going to lower it one inch. Dog bones in the rear like 30 on ebay.

dont waste your time or money on slip-on exhaust, go with the full system.

change fender?
