The only "drama" that gets started are by those who get banned for breaking the rules they agreed to follow when the signed up. Its like this on every forum.

I'm not arguing about breaking the rules. I admit I broke them. That's not what this thread is about. It's about implementing a new rule

Do you realize how many legitimate buyers (and sellers) this would knock out?

Many people come here to buy or sell, and THEN find themselves active and contributing.

If classifieds was saturated with bs, i could understand. But the real issue here seems to be about entitlement. (Which i understand)

We and most active knows whos here to help and whos here to make a buck.

I literally am out of the loop however with the whole classifieds banning situation.

Thats something maybe worth discussing with the others.

I think it's plainly obvious that if you see someone selling a bike or anything on here and they have 1 post to thier name that their intention is to sell some stuff and get out. At least introduce yourself and not make it so obvious. I can see how that would aggitate someone; but we all have the freedom to be on here as long as we follow the rules!

Also, I've seen on forums that have a minimum post count for selling...

What happens a lot is, people make a ton of BS posts just to get the count up so they can make a for sale post.

No thanks.

How about a poll within the for sale ad for readers to vote if its
A. Bad deal, overpriced
B. Decent
C. Good deal, great price

So that way u cant really dog the seller but u can give input on what the seller is selling.....since we r a community watching out for one another.

There r times when i see a price n want to tell them but cycle gear/motorcycle superstore/blah blah blah is selling it for this price, shouldn't urs be lower? But i don't.

Im only on about 3 forums so i dont know much about how forums work.

It's really not hard to understand the traffic brought here by the classifieds. No traffic no site. How about if the idiots were fair game at a certain point? Lol. It's silly to feel you as a member have some obligation to watch out for others by bashing some idiot selling a pos for 3k over value. If that was all that was being done you would only say "too high" and be done. Its fun. I won't bs and act like there is a higher purpose. It's just fun and entertaining. Let the bs come and go and roll with it. The traffic of the site is dependent on this. Then there is the whole "rules are rules" thing. It's not a democracy and we don't get a vote. Just my opinion.

Oh this should be good...

Oh, and FWIW, I first signed up on MH when I was searching out local motorcycle scene to advert a 501c3 benefit ride I was involved with. Did that, and thought "Hey, this could be cool, I'll check back in."

Solracer is right. When in doubt, err on the side of "hands-off".

I voted for bewbz. Because this is bewb month. I don't need a specific month to be in favor of bewbz, but it's cool.
