Do you know what obscured means? You're not a cop are you? If you knew the law and what the you were talking about you wouldn't have gotten stopped. The only time I get pulled over is when I deserve it.

If you want play the chronic victim, knock yourself out and enjoy it

But there's no reason to have the bike at the DMV!!

If it's out of state, you need to get it inspected first... so MAYBE trailer it there. My girl just rode it, cause there's an inspection place close. And you need to be sure it's gonna ride fine for the inspection anyways.

Even then... pretty sure you can ride it home, or a short distance, within XX amount of time of buying it... without plates. I know I read that somewhere when buying the last bike with no plates (out of state, previous owner kept them)

... and didn't want to write a ticket so bad that he would be required to keep the vehicle off the street. So, he did you a favor.

False = not registered to that vehicle... the inherent ONLY use/reason for a plate.

People don't get roasted for doing things worse because they know what they did. No one is telling you that you are a badass... they are explaining that you got let of easy!

Maybe you were "profiled" for being on a sport bike, maybe he actually thought your plate was obscured, maybe you were weaving and speeding, only the two of you can honestly answer that, but our representatives in NYC have made that all the more reason to keep your clean right now. Sucks, but it's reality. You made a poor choice, got busted, the officer did you a HUGE favor (you still don't seem to realize that) just hitting you up for an obscured plate vs a moving violation, and no, you won't get much sympathy here. Maybe in the stunters forum, not here.

Lol at thinking its ok to use a plate from another vehicle simply because you own it. That's pretty regarded, dude. Plates aren't interchangeable.

And you weren't at all targeted for being on a sportbike any more than it was coincidental that you happened to be riding a sportbike while you were breaking several laws.

If the cops want to put you over they will. They can figure out why later.

NYC didnt have anything to do with it. You rode through a side of town where the cops actually do cop work.

Spring Valley pulled me over not too long ago. I was just cruising at the SL early Sunday morning on my way to meet up with friends for a ride. The officer pulled into median and was initiating a u turn before I even passed him. He gets behind me and lights me up, says he couldn't read my plate. Told him I took off the factory mount because the inspection tag made contact with the rear tire so I deemed it a safety hazard and remounted everything to a safer location

He told me to contact Kawasaki

Anyways, he ran all my stuff and cited me because my ins card was expired. That was a super easy fix it ticket. Wasn't at city hall longer than 5 min. Didn't even cite me for the plate which I thought was nice of him. Also didn't even notice that I don't have an inspection sticker...yeah I need to take care of that soon

Was a bit annoyed though that I was even pulled over in the first place. Not rolling through there anymore unless traffic is bad on freeway.

I dont understand your anger, you do understand he COULD have easily written you for so much more, really, your thread should be about the break you got instead of them supposedly looking for to write you on, as they obviously had a lot more if they wanted.
I'll bet your fun to be around.
