08+ CBR1000RR owners- question

Quick question:

What is your rpm in 6th gear at 75mph? (stock gearing)

I ask because I recently picked up a cheap, high mileage gauge cluster to practice installing a gear indicator on, and when I hooked it up to test it out, at any given rpm it is reading 5-6% mph lower than my cluster.

Previously I was at 5k at 75 mph, right at 4k at 60mph

This cluster shows 71 at 5k and like 56-57 at 4k.

This isn't a huge deal... but I'm just wondering if I've been speeding or if this cluster is just slow.

I'm doing 70mph at 5k
I don't actually know what my gear and sprocket are at though. I bought it used and was told it had been bumped up a couple teeth on the back sprocket, but it sure doesn't ride like it.

Do you know if it has a speedo healer on it?

If so, +2R 70 @ 5k would be the same (or very close) to stock gearing 75 @ 5k

Ps- thanks for the input

Mine with stock everything is 75@5k or 60@4k just like yours. If you've been going off the speedo you've been going under the speedlimit. thinking you were doing 75 when you were only doing 71.

thanks guys- I remembered gearingcommander yesterday after work, and according to their tables, the "new" gauges are right.

Beastmaster, I'm going to compare my speedo reading with some gps and will post back up when I do.

Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength-
