All I read was the driver was injured. No injuries reported of motorcyclists. Driver of SUV called 911 before the video started.

I wish we could see the WHOLE video. Seems like the rider that posted the video picked a convenient point to start. His camera was filming the whole time.

Just a overall bad situation to be in. Im sure it would be alot different if this did happen in Texas or any other state where people carry weapons, as alot more people would have been killed.

The rider was injured and listed in a coma when the articles were written he passed away later that evening.

I can't fault the RR driver. I think I would have reacted the same way.

Police report explains he hit & ran right before the cameras come on. Which explains why the rider on the white gsxr tried to slow down the driver...

I bet.

Most rides people turn the gopros on after an incident and not at the start of a ride.

Joe, you and I both know the likeliness of this was started with 4-5 guys riding wheelies at 45 mph, followed by 100+ squids who want to be seen....they probably didn't like the guy speeding on the shoulder to get around or riding their as they're doing 20 mph below posted speeds, etc. One guy forgot that when on 2 wheels and attempting to mess with cager that it usually results in getting run over over. I can't say it's a bad situation to "be in". It's a situation they "created" and one person paid the ultimate price.

Sorry to hear that. All of the reports I have seen (including updates written this morning) say nothing about any injured riders.

I can't stand to watch like this, where the is the NYPD in cases like this? This must have gone on for four to five miles, with the driver on the phone with 911, and not a single patrol car is in sight? I realize they are not on every street corner waiting for something to do, but for all the distance the driver travelled on what appears to be a major highway, they should have been able to muster a couple cruisers out ahead of him to get involved.
This is not a FTP post, but I certainly cannot blame the RR driver for blowing through the crowd and hustling down the road to safety. Although, why when he stopped the second time was his door unlocked?

The NYPD tells the Daily Mail that no one was killed, and the only injury appears to be the driver of the Range Rover.

This is exactly WHY I didn't ride when I lived in NYC for 5 years.

1. Nearly everyone who drives in NYC has their heads up their and act like total douchers on the road. Road rage is very very common there and so are hit and runs.

2. Bikers ALSO act like total tards who own the road and are above the law.

Add those two together and you get a total cluster , one that I'm happy that I stayed out of.

Sometimes I wonder how many of you all would pull a gun under the wrong circumstances. I always thought of motorcyclist as a family or brotherhood much like the military. I can honestly say that I am glad I will never had to stand next to any of you or have my life depend on such a irrational and emotional group.
