I don't know about Buells, but I rode with the baffels removed on my Honda 919 and it never caused any problems. What makes you think it's running lean?

The reason I believe it to b lean is because I was told by few that without baffles the back pressure isn't enough for what the computer is set for factory and the o2 sensor I believe is throwing a code when im at crusin speed and not any other time I was told its because the pressure difference is making the o2 sensor read wrong therefore not given the motor enough fuel (lean) but Sunday I was running higher rpms all day especially on the way home and and I was also told buells don't like to b run at higher rpms like bikes which is were my problem is ...sry if my writing is a lil off im half asleep lol ...plz correct me if im wrong on anything

Hmm... not saying it couldn't be BETTER.... but my 09 has factory ECM, mostly gutted oem pipe, and a slightly cut up airbox.

Yes, it pops and backfires... but not excessively. No engine light ever. Probably lost a bit of low end, but nothing bad.

That's great generic advise for anything motorcycle related. No one makes any "power commander" for buell. You get a USB cable and reprogram it. Or you buy an EBR race ECM. Or mail order tune.

Or.... put the baffles back. Until u buy some sort of tuning thingiemajig.?
On a side note, I rode with guys on my shadow with straight pipes before.. annoyingly backfired all the time... didn't seem to hurt anything.

I see no reason it should be dangerously lean from the mods you have done

My bad. Was supposed to be 6k. I was in a hurry and didn't catch it. The rev limiter is at 8k-ish, and that's the number I had in my head when I typed that post.

Do you mean that you only pulled the front plug, or that only the front plug was black...and was it wet or dry?
