You rang??

Why was he messing with you in the first place, he should have known you were going fast because of courage, skill and possible emergency. And he decides to detain you for simply speeding??? What about the rapists and murderers???

FTP!!!!!!!

Thanks, always nice to get a positive story for a change. I know that my behavior is MUCH more likely to change when a popo acts human & compassionate instead of a cash register; the latter just helps engender an 'us vs them' vibe.

I agree about respecting respectful cops, but I don't think that a cop issuing a ticket for 66 over the limit - especially 100+ in a 40 zone is out of line.

You're lucky you didn't go to jail.

Oh, no question about that! I would NEVER expect to get a warning for 106/40. I was more thinking about the more pedestrian 10-25 mph over the limit.

I think the FTP crowd is more for pulling 21 people over on a ride and busting everybody chops about bullshit stuff; ie Alvin 21.

I can't FTP for that I know I'm in the wrong for....would have to assume most people feel the same.

I had a "cool cop" story...but also had the FTP one just before it...

I got my luckiest break from DPS. Well, from 4 troopers on the same stop, actually.

I reflashed my ECU a few weeks ago to Euro spec (US is restricted) and wanted to test it. It was about 1130 at night and I got on the freeway, passed a few cars then had a HUGE gap in traffic....I opened the throttle for about 15 seconds and shut it down and kept at the speed limit after. A minute later I see red and blue right behind me so said oops and exited freeway and pulled into a well lit gas station...talked to cop and he said he paced me going pretty fast. He checked my info and let me off with a warning. Zx14 rider that rides with clutch crew he told me to take it to the backroads...
Then when on the backroads the cops tell us to take it to the track...can't win lol
