Yeah get you a tire gauge and check the tires and psi before each ride. Keep riding at the Hill country and you will improve. Set up a ride to the hill country and I may come along..

Hey Jimmy, wonder why you only see me and Longdraw riding by ourselves! This is the reason why! Any group over 7 or 8 riders is too much for my liking. This group had 18 or so! I passed by yankees yesterday and didn't see you guys so I figured something had happened. I have been accused of being ant-social; but the truth is I don't like riding with people I do not know! I commend you for putting these noob rides togther; you have more patience than I do! These things are expected to happen on big noob groups. I suggest to whoever doesn't want to ride with strangers or people they do not like to only attend PM rides. You never know who is going to show up on these public forum rides. Just be an anti-social like me and everything will be fine. The guys I enjoy riding with know who they are and if it's a PM ride I am usually down.

Gravel was the excuse for the first accident on Jimrad's ride.

I'll blame Jimrad, since excuses are all over the place.

Only thing I see is riding above their comfort level.

Go slower to allow room for mistakes and other unknowns

Most people have squared of tires. We live in Texas, lots of straights and not many curves.

Sounds like someone freaks out and grabs allot of brake

I saw that too. It was about 30' long in the oncoming lane. He was lucky no cars or bikes were coming the other way.

happens and people crash..its no big deal..as long as you are not hurt that is the most important. We don't know exacty how Copperhead crashed..only he knows..he is ok and that's all that matters..stop trying to analyze what happened and lets move on..now if you'll excuse me I'm going to get some pie....

Id have to disagree. Thats not all that matters. Him joining rides and being a repeat offender ruins rides.
I really dont care if he is ok or not, I dont know the guy and have no attachment to him, fellow rider or not.

I say signing up is in order for public rides. That way ppl like me can steer clear of rides that he's on. EVen if hes not in my group, Ill know he'll wreck and ride leader will wait on him..making me wait on ride leader.

Added: You and pie, lol

I approach people to talk? I don't actually. I park my bike in isolation and play on my phone, text, sleep on the bike if I can. I don't talk to anyone except those who approach me. You have more swings and misses than the Astros.

Get my together? Sounds fair to say. I'm pretty mindful hence I insisted on people passing me even when they get in behind me. I'm on a 250 so I'm a sitting duck on the straights. What you and Viffer do is fine but knowing that you really don't know anything because you don't see anything. You shouldn't talk. Again, the bike fell and was put back on the road and started to run when he came back. I told him and others to leave and leave me to it. If you want to wait then that's fine but don't cry about it when you're waiting on your own volition.

Ban me if you like but I've only done 3 or 4 rides that is a knee jerk reaction. If I was truly a liability then I should have really totaled it. I ride way more by myself or with faster people and I've never crashed and I hang with them quite well until they get on the straight. I only ride with you guys to learn the roads which I don't know. I break off and ride on my own when I have an idea of where I am.

P.S. I had an IDGAF attitude about my bike's condition prior to the ride and it was an inconvenience to everyone. My bad and if anyone is still mad about it. I'll buy a round for you at the Central Meet. Fair enough?
If you werent trying to be in the front why were you RIGHT BEHIND ME leaving buccees when Im right behind Viffer, the ride leader???? If thats not the front, I dont know what is.
WHen I go on smr's, I know there are ppl who are faster than me. I line up BEHIND them, knowing my abilities and not wanting to hold anyone back.

Only time someone acknowledged your existence was when ppl were seeing if you are okay after you wreck.
Youre like a gnat flying around trying to befriend ppl who secretly wishes you would leave the ride. I hate to have to be so blunt. I do admire your persistence to get ppl to feel sorry for you and willingness to seek advice. Ive been getting discerning texts and PMs about you.

Look, you wrecked in a turn that had a bump in it.
I look in my mirrors Constantly. I even had to turn around countless times ON THE FREEWAY to see what the heck is going on bc of you.
I know you slow in turns and creep up in straights (on the backroads) ANd sometimes you even create a huge gap in a straight. Whyy, thats when you should regroup and get the group a bit tighter.

Again, JImRad led the ride and he wont leave anyone behind. He told everyone to go ahead but looked to Viffer and I and said, "Yall stay" as a joke. Again, we waited for JimRad, not you.
This is getting redundant.

It was a unanimous how we all felt about you besides JimRad after your first incident months back.
You FINALLY admit you had a IDGAF attitude. Thats a blatant disrespect to everyone on the ride.
You were a total inconvenience that time and this time again. I get anyone and everyone wrecks and it happens to the best of it but have a backup plan. Have someone you can call and if you dont, have the money to tow your bike back. Other ppl who wreck are among good friends who dont mind helping; you are among strangers with no one you can even call a friend.
I refrained from telling you how I felt last time but this time was enough. You expected everyone to help you while you sat there useless and helpless. You didnt even wanna shell out the 50 or 80 bucks to get AAA to come get your bike after 2+ hrs waiting in the heat, 120+ miles out. YOu mentioned you work on your bike all the time; well...you suck at it if so.

that's your choice...i went on a few group rides from here early on that were not my style...in fact, as soon as we hit Brookshire, some asshat went wide on a 55 mph curve while doing 70 and screwed it up for everyone....once he was ok, I started my bike and left.

Want to select the riders you ride with? Keep it to PM's and don't attend public rides. The idea of "banning" people from publicly posted rides is pretty funny. What ya gonna do, yell and tell him to go home? lol Maybe spend the first 40 miles of the ride doing the speed limit and he'll peel off?

I attended this ride bc I needed to go to Navasota anyways. Plus, an opportunity to ride with Viffer, JImRad and Melisssa.

Yes, exactly that, Tell them theyre not welcome on the ride. Ive seen it done a over 5x on public rides. Thats my take on public rides. I know how private rides work and go on them plenty of times.

Its ok and wonderful for noobs to come out and learn but there is a way to do it. Responsibility peeeeeeepole.
