I met some good people on this ride and had a good time, that is what I came on this site to do. Hopefully I will get to ride with those guys again.

If people have a problem with others, just start a list as usual, and when they sign up to go, PM and tell them they are not welcome on the ride, find another. Problem solved...no drama..no hard feelings. I am sure I will be one of those, but F**k it, if you don't like me because I am not riding as fast, you can suck it. I have more pins, plates and scars in and on my body from riding to prove I love this and keep coming back. Most would not get on a bike after going through what I did.

Not trying to be a , just have seen all the ones on here that think they are pro's putting down noobs and rides with noobs, thinking they are better than most because they go faster on the street or take some track days....Well, I don't see any of you on TV backed by a big manufacturer and endorsed by several sponsors making a living at this, so your not any better than me....just a back roads weekend rider. I already get dirty looks when these guys see me out on the street...so whatever, and I am sure I will be shunned even more now, but , chill out, have fun, ride fast, ride hard, and f**k the rest.

Tip your waitresses, I'm here all day. Sure I will get a lot of for this, so bring it on.....I love it....
They are throwing around the noob word a lot but I think it is more of a hazing that all new riders or new to the groups go through. More in this thread because there has been on going issues with a certain rider and his response and actions after the "controlled bail".

You made it pretty clear you would not be going fast through all of the corners before the ride. When I was riding around you were riding smart and clean. I know where you hang out on the weekends (twisting thru the forest) so we can go riding.

I remember the day when we had a "noob" show up and rode with us back in the day. The "noob" aka Colin Edwards is more of a Pro than anybody on this forum. Noob meaning he was new to the group and could of rode circles around all of us.

jimrad, I was not talking about you. I respect the way you run a ride and share riding tips with everyone, really made it enjoyable.

I saw you checking out every ones equipment and making sure they were riding safe, even telling everyone to check their tire pressure and air up if it was low. Most would not do that for everyone.

Your a stand up guy, and it was a pleasure riding with you.

oh I know it wasnt directed toward me..

just saying it because I always come across riders that put way too mych emphasis on "trying to keep up" or "trying to catch up"...which is the first mistake that needs to be corrected before it leads to a crash.
Ride your own ride means to ride the pace you are comfortable with.

Jimrad .. I wish I could catch more rides with ya but seems I am always working when you have one .. I will catch another as soon as I can.

Now ... the one ride I have been on with you was well organized. You stressed to everyone to check their bikes, ride within your limits and separated us into groups so we would not have to feel like we were chasing down the faster riders.

I still felt jittery because I had never rode with a group that size but that all ended after a short while. You checked on everyone the leaders and sweepers made sure we were all good.

You cant change or control the attitudes of the riders in the group the only thing you can do is ask them not to come back until they wanna follow the rules of the group. While it may be a public ride on a public forum but just as you can get banned from the forum for acting out of line I dont see why people are getting all pissy about banning people from rides if they cant control themselves within the group.

I have talked with Copperhead at PP1 and meets, rode with him once with Jimrad, and given him a rash of on this forum for popping off some stupid . My impression of him is this: young, over confident and hard headed. The two later dont mix on a group ride. I rode behind him on the Livingston ride and as others have described its haul down the straights and poke it through the corners. I left before he went down on the Livingston ride and I was not on this ride to see it happen to say one way or another why he went down. I can only say it did not surprise me when I opened this thread and he had went down again on a slow low side in a corner.

You have be willing to ride the ride with the group (within your limits) and respect the others around you. If you are slower ... hang back. If you are not willing to listen to the advice of others why ride in a group? They are trying to keep you and the other riders safe. I hope that people will tell me if I am doing something wrong and work on it. TMAX was great when he was sweeping and did just that. I asked him to watch me and he told me exactly what I was thinking so it helped me so much. Viffer1200 from Spring, Donte (the stunt rider forest gnome), CraigRR, .. too many to list (Even Umayr) have given me sound advice that has helped improve my riding. It has keep me on two wheels for now. I know the day is coming I will put her down and when that day comes I will know it was me pushing my limits and I hope that people like Jimrad and others will help me through the rough time on the side of the road because they know it was just something that happens and not me being an disregarding the safety/consideration of others on the ride.

It's pretty simple. Don't ride any faster than you would if you were riding alone.
