Race footage from Knesek Ranch

Ride with #102 on the 13' KTM 200 XCW with TORCS at Knesek Ranch

I was second to last through turn 1 off the start but, I fought my way back up to a 4th place finish, navigating through, dust, mud, Open A and 450A riders along with a couple of small mistakes that cost me about a minutes time overall.

I want to give a huge thank you to Bell Helmets for making an excellent fitting helmet. At my last race, I forgot in all of the excitement of the race start to strap my helmet to my head. I raced for 1 hour 20 minutes in a hare scramble, bouncing my head off of a couple of trees, my helmet never moved out of place during this grueling race, in fact, I never knew my helmet was not strapped until the 1.4 hour race was over when I reached for the strap to remove my helmet. I will never ever wear any other brand of helmet. I love my Moto9 Carbon helmet, and I need a new one so I'll be checking out the latest line up of helmets for the future..

Thanks Danny, and those riders I was passing were either Open A or 450A guys (started 1 and 2 minutes ahead of me), either they were riding slow or I'm getting a little bit faster, either way, I still need to stay on the gas longer and pick up the throttle sooner to pick up some time.

You can't tell, nor can you hear it but, I know of at least 3 different times that I hit my helmet on low lying tree limbs, luckily my helmet stayed tight and in place during these impacts.

I will be submitting my damage pics and other information with Bell Helmets to see if they will help me with there "crash replacement program" to replace my helmet with a new one. http://www.bellhelmets.com/crash-replacement

Rod, I am a slow A rider, I can't imagine going 2 full minutes faster per lap like the pros were doing.

You've come a long ways since we last rode together, James. Congrats, you are looking really good out there.
