I renewed the reg for a car that did not belong to me I needed the copy of their drivers licenses (valid) bring your hard copy licenses (valid) or passport or whatever, and make sure all the paperwork is filled out correctly because they will turn you away if its not unfortunately.

looks like you got it. I personally get the seller to sign 2 or 3 applications for titles.

Only one "owner" on the title right? I bought a Jeep that had husband/wife listed as owners, but only had one signature. Had to get the other to sign the title/application and return.

Bring your proof of insurance.

Yes, someone else can do it for you, but I'd send them with copy of your DL.

btw, this was of those "scary" purchases where the seller says he applied for the title, but it hasn't come in yet.

Came in as promised.

Why would you NOT take off work to do this?

Last week on Friday:

"Hey boss, can I go goof off for about 3 hours? I want to plate this dirtbike I got last week. Yeah, the dirtbike....street legal.......so I can ride it to work. "

Boss:
"Urine idiot........Go do it, I gotta see this!"

My boss still thinks I am an idiot with a plated dirtbike,
