sunday, april 15th-birthday ride pt II

im wanting to go on the 149-3090 ride fo sho, but im having trouble finding a good map of it. so far the ones ive come up with online are very vague, and if i remember correctly, thats an area someone can get lost in pretty easily (happened to a couple of riders last time). its getting closer and closer to the date (next sunday) and im gonna start taking a head count on whos gonna be there. also, if we get enough people going, one for the south guys, then we'll head up and meet the north guys on 45 and 1960 again and go from there. sound like a plan?

ride from spring to 149 by taking a few backroads, i cant remember all the streets, but even those have a few good turns. We ride 149 through to anderson, then do 3090. Go back down 3090 till you hit hwy 6 in navasota. from there you can keep on to fayetteville, ride 290 back to houston, or go back thru 149. SSB used to do some nice rides back in the day but the board has slowed down a lot over the past year.

if you do this plan on an early ride like leaving at 8 or 9 am. IMHO starting past that time is useless, unless you like riding behind boats, rv's, and cruisers.

You should take the back roads up to College Station and watch the races at TWS (Texas World Speedway).

start at 2920 and 249 in tomball. Go north on 249. to pinehurst right. watch for it or u will go past it, IT's where the right lane ends.
149 all the way thru montgomery, richards into anderson. At anderson take a left then 50 yards later a right. still on 149. take that which turns into 3090. take that around to dead end which is 244. can take a left there and go about 5 miles or so to yankess tavern, which is just past the light at hwy 30 maybe 500 yards of so on 149, if weather is good will be a couple hundred bikes altho most will be hardley ablesons.
can make same trip back or 3090 into navasota.
later
Michael
