bike buying

Looking at buying a honda cbr 250 and was wondering is there any negotiating off the price say 1%, 2%, 3% etc. Is the same as haggling with car dealers, or is it different. Some thoughts suggestions, anything that can help me in the process.

Bike shops dont have the markup like car dealers. You can get a few hundred off, and maybe some gear/parts credit. Dont plan on getting 10% off sticker, though.

Your dealing with a $10k vehicle, not a $30k+... so don't expect the same number off, but yes, room to move (on some bikes).
It all depends on the bike/dealer.... some are in demand, others are last years inventory.

Though personally, I hate that game. There's been plenty of bikes I really liked (used) at dealers, but their price was so much higher than personal market value that I never gave them a 2nd conversation. If they'd list them at a no haggle price, I'd be on two different bikes than I am right now.
