Squid stories...

Driving home last night from Poe's, eastbound on Fm1960...

Sitting at a lightand I hear/see a rocket pull up on left quarter. Look over and a gal on sportbike, then a guy pulls up beside her. Both are in short sleeves and jeans, bare handed but at least wearing lids. Give em a nod, light changes....and traffic starts moving. We all get moving, I usually run right about 8-10 over the limit on this run, depending on traffic etc. I've got a good line, the other two had a couple cars ahead... I hear one of the bikes a 1/2 second before the gal flies by....I watch as she closes on the car ahead of her, flicks the bike over to the left and uses the turning lane to pass the guy.
For 3 or 4 miles, I watch em use the road like a virtual personal race track.

We all ride fast, and I'm not going to give serious shyte to anyone in regards to the gear they chose to ride in... but it's like that which doesn't reflect well on us as a group or community.

Yeah when people do that to me in my car, It's only then that I think about how dangerous I ride myself when I do it to other cars.

Mr. Awesome Squiddly Man attempted to impale himself on my bumper. First he was swooping around cars and almost crashed into me at the light. Then he wheelied behind me for a while and when I attempted to change lanes so did he (at a high rate of speed). :BangHead: At least he was wearing a helmet with his t-shirt & shorts.
