Blonde roots

In a little town in Utah, I tried & failed to push-start bluepine's VStrom this evening.

Really had to do some soul-searching, there in the parking lot. Have I been neglecting my physical fitness that much? Maybe it's the altitude? The fatigue of a long road trip? Maybe... maybe I'm just getting old :-(

Then it hit me... Mark still had the kill switch on. The battery wasn't even dead! D'oh!

I think I'm going to make Mark push-start my Bandit the rest of the trip.

You should have seen me trying to get my Versys out of the truck this weekend at MSRH. I thought it was stuck roll on stand. Three people were yanking on it when one of them asked if it was still in gear.

DOOH, yea it is because I rode it up the stand.

I have had a few "turn the gas on, dummy" moments. I usually dont figure them out so quickly, though. It is usually after loading the bike up, and taking it home/to the dealer, or after pushing it 1-5 miles home. It's funny...a week later.
