The 848 was already more expensive than a liter bike. Maybe they will save enough money using a standard swingarm to price match them

When did a 600 class sport bike top $11k? It's all getting a bit out of hand, inflation-wise.

Yeah I will continue to buy good used bikes. I've had nothing but good luck with every bike I've owned so far. I just can't see laying down 12-20k for a bike

Wonder if it'll be legal to race in the 600 class.

If so, it makes me trying to race my 996cc Aprilia in the litre class laughable.

When the litre bike became a 1.199 litre bike.

I do agree with the screwed up nomenclature. When I bought the S83, I was dumbfounded by the moto press referring to it, and other 1100-1400 cruisers, as middleweight. Back when the S83 was introduced in the '80s - as the Intruder 1400 - it was the biggest-displacment cruiser around.

I guess compared to the 2.3L Rocket III, anything is a middleweight.

I understand the benefits of mass centralization, but part of me misses a nice set of cans hanging off the sides or under the seat.
These new ones just don't have that nice deep thumping tone of yesterday's twins.

Beautiful bike but.... I am quite sure its pitifully under powered and probably still $15k...

Yes, I agree bike pricing has gotten pretty crazy the last few years...

New 600s are $10k+.... Pretty crazy considering 10 years ago you could buy new busas and 1000s for that.

Yup, I paid $9,200 for my new 2002 Busa in 2004. OTD price in Chicago, then titled it here for maybe $800. I remember everything with the plane ticket was $10,250.00

But, but, but....it has 18hp more (claimed) than a 2013 R6 and says Ducati on it. Those 18 extra horses gotta be worth every penny.

I think your opinion of power may be skewed a bit
