I got red LEDs for my birthday and as soon as my boyfriend gets a chance, he will even install them. Post pics when you get a chance. I would love to see how you got yours set up. I am still trying to determine the best place to put them.

Ulric and Rocketbunny also have a cool set of LEDs installed!

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought LED's arent street legal for your bike?
I thought I heard someone say they got hassled by a LEO for having them on his motorcycle.

Hence my reason for wanting a switch to turn them off...

Gonna depend on what color your using and where/how you've got em mounted.
If you want to play it safe, avoid blue/white/red mounted on the front or rear with the light source visible.
I exchanged a few email with someone at the DPS in the motorcycle cycle safety dept. What it came down to, was there is no actual law in regards to the use of accent lighting, but there are some restrictions in regards to light/color in the vehicle code that are open to interpetation. If I can find my notes, links later I'll post em.. one of what I recall off hand was no Red/Blue beacon visible from the front. Also nothing that can, obscure or make it difficult to see/read your license plate (hence reports of ticketing for the Neon Plate Holders).

I know one person, out of state that got hassled for blue 'pod' lights (tucked in to the side of his headlights), but thats all I've been able to confirm so far in regards to someone getting stopped.

from the cop's mouth......red lights can be seen from the rear but not the front...(no other colors than red/amber) and, almost no cop will stop you for LED's unless he has it out for you and wants to write a ticket for something. I have (and all the good ones I have seen) tucked the lights nicely enough so you can't see the lights, but only the red (or whatever color) glow...make sense?
